Presently
a rancher in Burnet, Helen worked in the non profit sector for 22 years. She assisted
numerous institutions and organizations achieve their
fundraising and management objectives.
Since “retiring” in 1998 she has built a successful
equestrian business
on a small working ranch in central Texas which offers
riding lessons, horse boarding, recreational riding and
training.

Built a successful equestrian business from scratch.
Owner and hands on manager of a small working ranch raising
cattle and goats.
We offer horse boarding, riding lessons, recreational riding
and horse training.
Developed
Miller’s Equine Wound
Salve,
a universal healer for equines and livestock using essential
oils.
1995 – 1997 – Sabbatical in western Ireland.
Lived for two years in the Irish village of Ardrahan.
Worked in the summer of 1995 as a gopher and logistics
support hand for
Willie Leahy’s Aille Cross/Connemara Trail .
Studied for and passed the British Horse Society Stage
1 in Riding and Horse Care.
Served as secretary for the Tulira Castle County Show, a
three-day county
horse and livestock show in Galway County.
Learned html programming before WSIWYG programs were
available and
started a web site development service for equestrian
businesses in Ireland.
This initiative was cut short when my father was diagnosed
with Alzheimer’s disease and I returned to the United
States.
