She has provided professional fundraising and management counsel to organizations in the fields of private higher education, graduate study, scientific research, botany, regional and global conservation, museums and collections management, the arts and arts education, private secondary education, college and university administration, international development, children's and women's health issues in the developing world, international relief activities, public television, medical research, hospice services, community services, and children's arts and culture. Her personal style is informal, dynamic, and
team-oriented. Her working philosophy embraces the importance of personal and professional
accountability, the need for organizational consensus and confidence, and the joy that can
be found in seeing organizations achieve their missions through effective fundraising. |

Personal Interests Helen is a native of central Texas and a graduate of St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin. As a college undergraduate she played varsity tennis and volleyball, was a member of the College Choir, wrote for the student newspaper and was elected President of her sorority. After graduation she served on her sorority's Alumnae Council and was President for one year. She was a member of the Class of 1970 20th Reunion Committee which raised more than twice the amount in gifts for the College than any prior reunion class. She has served on the major donor committee for the Los Angeles Women's Foundation and the Grants Review Committee for the Pasadena Art Alliance. She was a Trustee of the Endowment Fund for the Diggers Garden Club of Pasadena, and a Charter Founder of the Los Angeles Women's Foundation. Helen has provided pro bono counsel to many nonprofit organization personnel and trustees. She is a member of the National Society of Fundraising Executives. She has recently returned to Texas after thirty years in California.
